At M&S Laboratory, we are dedicated to providing our clients with convenient and accessible COVID-19 testing options. We understand that the COVID-19 pandemic has made it difficult for many individuals and organizations to access reliable and timely testing. That’s why we have developed a range of testing options to suit your needs.
We offer on-site testing for individuals and organizations requiring testing at their location. Our specialists will set up and administer tests on-site, ensuring fast and reliable results. This option is ideal for organizations such as schools, workplaces, and events, where large groups of people need to be tested quickly and efficiently.
Our drive-through testing option allows you to get tested without leaving the comfort of your vehicle. Simply book an appointment, drive up to our designated testing area, and our technicians will collect your sample while you stay in your car. This option is perfect for those who are unable to come into the laboratory or prefer to avoid public spaces.
We also offer walk-in testing at our laboratory location for those who prefer to come in for testing. Our experienced technicians will administer the test and provide you with your results as soon as they are available. This option is ideal for individuals who prefer to have their test administered in a medical setting.
Our highly trained technicians collect a small sample of the patient’s respiratory fluid, such as nasal or throat swabs, using sterile collection materials.
The collected sample is processed in the laboratory using specialized equipment and reagents to isolate the viral RNA.
The isolated RNA is then converted into complementary DNA (cDNA) using the reverse transcription.
The cDNA is amplified using the quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) method. This process exponentially increases the amount of target DNA present in the sample, making it easier to detect.
Fluorescent probes are used to detect the amplified DNA in the patient’s sample. The amount of fluorescence is measured and compared to a standard curve to determine the presence or absence of the virus.
Once the testing process is complete, our laboratory delivers prompt and accurate results to both the patient and their healthcare provider. Results are typically reported within 24/48 hours of sample collection, ensuring timely and informed decision-making. To enhance accessibility and convenience, we offer results delivery through both text messages and emails.
